We have some SS 316 pipelines from 2 to 12" nominal size. The pressure is 0-5 psig and temperature is -45 degree F.
While assessing the NDT reports for these pipelines it came to light that all these lines are sch.5 and sch.10. ( 1 to 3 mm thick).
Even though the thickness is ok for pressure temp rating is is good for mechanical strength point of view. IS there some minimum thickness guidelines for pipe line design
