I am planning some maintenance work on a 34% aq NH3 line.

Before we carry out the work, we plan to flush the lines out with water.
Is there a recommended flush requirement (quantatiy or velocity) dependent on id and length of pipe?

I also have a centrifugal pump in the line and am not entirely sure how this will restrict the flow through the line.

Thanks

I just joined and this may be late. Your pump will spin and allow fluid through, forward or backward. Usually there is just a flush overnight approach to decon. Getting a liquid sample to lab prior to breaking in is also a good thing to do.
