How do you create a round (radius) along part of an edge

Hi, we are trying to create a radius on an edge, but want it to stop half-way along it. We can think up long-winded ways of doing it, but someone may know an easy method and make us look silly!!?? Thanks in advance for your response Andrew.

Revising parts and breaking links to drawings

Tried to search for this one without success - it's bound to have happened to someone out there (or we are just plain stupid)!! It happened as follows:- 1. using revision manager, an assembly was opened and the 'where used' found what models and draft drawings were used in it. 2.Some parts were...

    Managed Libraries

Looked for tips or info on this, but didn't see any. The SE 'help' topics aren't great for basic overviews of something like this. My questions are:- 1. Breifly what exactly is a managed library, and can I use this capability without buying the extra insight connect add-on. 2. Do most SE...

    Solid Works feature recogniser problem

ksudavid, Thanks for the tip, that's all it was - I don't rememeber having to bring up this toolbar in v18.

    Solid Works feature recogniser problem

I have SE Classic, I did use feature recogniser, and it still does not recognise anything. When I go through the convert procedure, before I click on finish, the feature library is greyed out - is this supposed to be the case? The feature recogniser is blue, and when I click on this it just...

    part Origin change

Thanks, I run V19, however can I also rotate the part relative to the origin and base planes? In the same manner, can I also rotate move assemblies relative to the origin and base planes?

    Solid Works feature recogniser problem

I've converted sldprt (SW parts) in V.18 using the feature recogniser, and it worked fine. I've tried this in V.19 and it doesn't seem to recongise anything, and brings it is as a solid body feature. Has anyone else had problems with this recently?

    part Origin change

When importing a model from other CAD packages sometimes the origin isn't were I'd like it. How can I change this? I've had a look using search, but didn't see what I'm looking for. It's likely a very basic question, but it wasn't covered during training. Thanks Andrew.

    SAT conversion issue

I'm converting SAT files from a supplier (assembly composed of sheet metal and box sections). SE converts most of the parts, but some sheet metal parts come in as surfaces only. Anyone else seen this, or know how to get arounf it? My only recourse is to use SolidWorks to convert and then...

Revision control of assys-parts-dfts -previous threads

Thanks to everyone for your help. Revision manager was briefly mentioned during training, but not explained. I'll need to do a few trials on test parts before we start messing about with real parts and assemblies, so I may be back with more questions. -Thanks and regards Andrew

Revision control of assys-parts-dfts -previous threads

I've had 3 days training and this was not mentioned. Is this inbuilt or an add-on?

Revision control of assys-parts-dfts -previous threads

Just started using SE v19. I'm a little worried about revision control between drawing types. For example:- A300-014-002 (assembly drawing with the issue number at -002) P300-035-004 (a piece part in the above assembly BOM at revision -004) The draft drawing would be the same as the piece...

    wireless technology

OK so I do need to be more specific. the timer will stop the motor after about 5 minutes. I'd like to build one of these mechanisms to start with.

    wireless technology

Sorry, UK. I wish to switch on a small battery (say 4.5V) operated dc motor, which will run continously until a timer switches it off. There will be negligible load on the motor.
