I am starting to do some work at home for my company and would like to know how exactly to get all of my settings and toolbars and design library and just pretty much make it like it is at work. kind of like a solidworks total pack and go. Does anyone know how I can go about this?

Using the Copy Settings Wizard in the Start > All Programs > Solidworks > SolidWorks Tools section would be a good start.

You will have to manually setup the directory structure to match.

That is what I was afraid of. Oh well, so much for teying to be lazzy.

If your directory structure is on a network and your IT dept will allow, you can use VPN software and use exactly the same files at home as you do at work.

If you have PDMWorks at work, you should be able to check out the files from the server, take them home to work on, and then check them back in at work.

Gat,
sorry for the intrusion but wanted to advise of a work around that we discovered this morning.

Another option is to sync files automatically using something like this....

Its free and works in the background. You set up the folders you want to sync on mulitple computers. It works behind firewalls.
