Hi,

My Solidworks 2008 drawings have suddenly started displaying notes and dimensions in white on screen. Does anyone know how I can turn them back to black? I have set the colour settings to black for all drawing elements but that has not made any difference.

It seems that the dimensions it displays in white are usually from a previous drawing version. When I print the drawing they print out with all black text/dimensions.

Anyone come across this before?

Hi,

Can't say I've seen this before, but the screen does sometimes go blank in the graphic area, but the pointer can still pick out the features and dimensions. Could be a graphics card problem.

Thanks for your reply, just to clarify my first post, it is only some of the dimensions/notes that are white, the rest stay black. Also it was not doing this prior to last week.

Check the layers on your drawing. Some dimensions may have been assigned to a different layer.

Also select all the white dimensions, then in the Line Color tool, make sure Default is selected ... or unselected ... depending upon the normal settings of the other dimensions.

[cheers]

Thanks as always CBL!

The line colour tool was the problem, default had been deselected on all the white dimensions/notes. Not sure how it has happened on all my drawings but at least I know how to sort it now.

Cheers.
