What Standard of Resonator Gas delivery system is best practice for a Co2 laser to minimise damage to laser when changing bottles etc, Do we need dual bottles with a changeover & purge system or is a single bottle system
acceptable. Are Relief valves with neoprene seats ok ?
( I have read that neoprene contaminates the laser gases)

Is Anyone using concoa regulators ?

we are looking at model 601 for laser gases
model 623 for laser gases

thanks steve

Steve,

I just found this site, and saw your post. I noticed it was from quite a while ago.

I use Concoa regulators, and have had no problems. In fact, the laser techs tell me they are surprised as to how low my coefficient stays over a long period of time.

I do have a rather unorthodox trick, or habit, when changing the laser gas only.
I crack the existing cylinder slightly while removing the gauge. I then quickly connect it to the new cylinder, which is also cracked slightly.

I also roll the new bottle around just in case it has been standing for a long period of time. And I crack the new valve hard before connecting to remove any debris.

I chose to use a Teflon line for this gas.
