What is this part called? 1

Good Morning,

I am trying to find the proper name for the part often found on ratcheting screwdrivers that holds a bearing ball in place. It is some kind of bearing ball retaining clip. I have included links to 2 pictures showing what I mean. In the first picture it is the black ring around the bottom of the socket holder. The second link is a picture of the part itself - the website calls it a sheath spring clip, but apparently no one else does. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your responses. Spirol was a good lead, but I called them and they neither carry the part nor know what it is called. I have called several other manufacturers with similar results.

I agree that the part should be called a ball retaining clip/sheath/sleeve, but I have googled every combination of those words, and many more, without finding anyone who carries them, or even any pictures of them (apart from the one I linked).

I am beginning to think that no one really carries them off-the-shelf and they are only made to order, although I would be thrilled to be proven wrong.
