I bet that would depend where in the world you are located. In the USA, I bet it would be RS Logix 500 or RS Logix 5000.

Thank you for the response. I am in Canada and just started to teach myself PLC programming using the LogixPro simulator from thelearningpit.com .

Is this simulator similar to RS Logix 500/5000? In order words, if I become thorough using the LogixPro simulator, can I confidently say that I can program a PLC using RS Logix?

Thanks again.

I have used that simulator before and it is similar to RS Logix500. I think it really gives you a good feel for writing programs in rs logix.

Another software package you could use is RSEmulator500 or RSEmulator5000. You program in RSLogix500 or 5000 and then download the program to RSEmulator.

Chris is right. I am in Ozz and Omron CX-Programmer and RS-Logix are probab,y the most popular.
