VTVM versus DVM 2

Hi,
I hope this question is not too basic for this forum but I will ask anyway. I am doing a tune up on an old turntable I have and according to the service manual, I need to make measurements with a VTVM (vacuum-tube voltmeter). I own a Fluke 111 DVM, is there any reason why this can not work in place of the VTVM? What are the differences?

No problem - the Fluke 111 even has the 'analog' bar graph in case you're trying to follow a moving signal.

How many adjustments are there on a turntable ?

About a dozen for this one. It has dc voltage, arm return hall effect, quartz timing bias, motor regulator (direct drive), 33 1/3 and 45 speed adjustments, a few others...

I suspect that the significance of the VTVM requirement was related to impedance. The VTVM had high impedance, about 11 MOhm where the VOM of the era was low impedance. Without web searching characteristics on your Fluke I would bet that the impedance is higher than the VTVM.
