Does anyone know of any software out there that will perform some sort of vibration/shock test/anylasis on a 3D solid model?

We have an older copy of Working Model which allows the input of vibration functions into a 3D model. They have been bought out and I think the new release is VisualNastran 4D. See the link:

Any decent Finite element package will do that. Of course, the first step is to turn your solid model into a finite element model, which can be as simple as clicking a button, or can involve months of work, depending on what exactly you want to achieve.

If your solid model is an assembly then it is more difficult, but if it is just a casting (say) then building the fe model is fairly straightforward.

If you describe your problem more fully then I could probably be more specific.. Cheers
