Hi
I am a new user to ansys. I want to calculate the vibration response of a simple supported beam. I used the transient dynamic analysis and POST1 for the calculation of strain of all the elements
i used ETABLE command to calculate the strain
i want to calculate the strain for different values of the load. however, i get the same strain values for every load case.
can you please help me to get the correct solution

Hi,
Maybe you should try spectrum analysis, which is usually used for vibration analysis.

If you are in a transient analasys, you will need to use Post26. Post1 will just return results from the last substep.
