I have been informed that the Eastman Copolyester material that I was hoping to use is not recomended for UV exposure. We are very concerned now as we were about to cut steel and comission an injection tool but have had to put the breaks on. The COPE ticked all our boxes for the floowing properties: Transparency, Impact resistance, Thick moulding -8mm, Chemical resistence and non staining (Iodine - Haolgen), Non yellowing overtime. Can anyone comment on whether the concern with UV is correct and if there is a HAL additive we can use that will give the protection we need without loosing the properties of Transparency etc.
