using reference files 1

Need help figuring how to attach a border reference file.
The original was on a floppy, as a "read only" file.
I saved the file with a new name. It will not attach.
I get window message that says, "invalid dimensions".
Can there be incompatibility with the design file units?

Microstation will not allow you to attach a 3D file to a 2D file . . . either convert your file to 3D (via File>Export>3D) or convert the reference file to 2D.
