If you create a custom solidworks material it's possible to assign a photoworks material. Is it possible to assign a custom photoworks material to your custom solidworks material? I seems trivial but I can't get it to work.

Does anyone understand what I mean?

Thanks in advance!

Ok! That's a bummer and really suprising. Who difficult can it be?

If you just want to assign a specifik color (RGB code) to a custom SolidWorks material, is that possible?

Come on! I'm desperate! Can one assign a random RGB color to a custom SolidWorks material?

EXCUSE ME???

Most of the members here are busy with their own full time jobs. They are not at your beck and call, and will offer help and answer posts in their time frame ... not yours.

That sort of comment will definitely not help you. Especially as this is your first thread here.

Have you read the Help files?
Have you asked your VAR?

Oops, someone's cranky. I'm terribly sorry if I in any way offended you or your busy schedule. I just wanted to stress that this is an urgent matter and that I really am desperate.

So, pretty please with sugar on top, can anyone with a less busy schedule find it in their hearts to help me? Thanks in advance!

I agree with CBL.
If you search, you will find existing material files.
When you create a material, material textures and PhotoWorks materials can be added.

You could copy all the characteristics of the SW custom material, create your own material, and then repeat the characteristics of the SW custom material, only with your own new color--or texture, or whatever. A pain, but it should work fine. ..if you're desperate. [wink]
