To replace obsolete Mark VIe steam turbine control system

Hi
Spares for the Mark VIe are becoming obsolete. For a 45 MW steam turbine , what other control system we can use instead of Mark VI? The system is very complex, the spare cards are very expensive and very long delivery delay. Can we replace with Woodward or another system?

About 3/4 of the way down the webpage that the following link takes you to is a webinar where the vendor team discusses options for how to handle obsolescence. Note that the VIe control system is designed to be modular - which means there should be bits and pieces that can be upgraded/replaced without having to redo the entire setup.

We’ve been talking with GE about obsolescence, so far all of our cards and controllers from 2008 are still supported.
We still have UCSA controllers, first generation MarkVIe equipment. At some point they are supposed to provide us with an upgrade plan for each plant, although I think they are still working through the Nexus purchase.

I assume you have discussed this in detail with GE? Things would have to be pretty desperate before I'd swap out a turbine manufacturer's system for a third-party system.
