Solvent bonding reinforced abs/pc 1

I am designing some injection molded parts to be made from abs/pc alloy. It is desireable to use glass fiber reinforcement. Is it possible to solvent bond these parts together? The stress on the joint is minimal.

Yes

It works better if some ABS or PC/ABS polymer is added to the solvent to increase viscosity and to "add material" to the joint as it evaporates.

Thanks, Pat. I am used to solvent bonding neat resins only. I guess my real question is "Will the glass screw upo the bond?"

The glass reduces bond strength and leaves the bond interface depleted of resin, hence it is a bit more critical to replenish the resin at the interface.

The glass of course does not reinforce across the bond interface, but you already indicated the bond is not in a high stress area, so all should be OK
