I know that Alibre has tutorials built in,but I have a copy of Egineering Design with Solidworks 2006,would the examples based in this book work with Alibre?

Think of it this way: "I have a tutorial on how to fly an Airbus 320, will it work with a Boeing 737?" What would your answer be?

Go to Alibre website and post this question on their discussion group, you'll get faster answers.

Obviously, the step by step instructions from a Solidworks tutorial won't work in Alibre.

But, the basic theory behind solid modeling is the same and trying to recreate the example models within Alibre, using the proper Alibre methodology, could help you. If nothing else, you will learn the differences and similarities between the two programs.
