Small &Thick Shell forming

Dear All,
I'm designing a Stainless steel Small high pressure vessel (650 psig Pressure design at 250 oF), with conical shell :Top Dia.8in Id, Btm Dia.2in Id, H=20in , thk= 5/16 in, So We are not able to form this conical shell, my question:
what is the ASME Section VIII Div.1, requirement , if we use a machined or forged conical shell part?

401laurent, I don't believe any of the rules for cones, including Apx 1-5 and 1-8 make any mention at all of product form. I would not plan on machining it from barstock though.

Cylindrical parts machined from bar are limited to a maximum size of NPS4.

Forgings are not a problem, you they are not limited by size.

Can't you bump this in a break press in two pieces then perform two long-seams?
 
Review UG-6 and UG-14. Limits stated by marty007 can be extended using CC 2156-1.

I checked in the beginning your suggestion, by welding two formed pieces ,but the calculated forming strain is = 13.644%,which excced 10%, and per UHA44, its require a heat treatment.

401laurent, you might want to take another look at UHA-44(a)(1)(b) & Table UHA-44.

indeed when I took a deep look to UHA-44(a)(1)(b) & Table UHA-44, and regarding grade material & my temperature design, it doesn't take a heat treatment.
