Dear friends,
I want to prepare pipe supports for a finger-type slug catcher which fingers in this equipment need to be sloped. I'm not sure about the types of supports for this type of equipment/piping. I have attached a picture regarding two ways of the installation of shoe supports on the fingers.
Generally, for supporting most sloped lines in plants type 1 (refer to attached picture) is used. But I have recently seen a pie support specification which offered type 2 of support for this equipment. I'm puzzled by these two approaches. Could you please advise me which one is applicable to this type of equipment?
