First, I am a new piping designer for ADM Construction in Clinton, Ia. I am also new to Microstation. I have been working with it for a month now and think it's great. Most all my work consists of placing piping into operating systems and mainly just adding cells from a library. My company was nice enough to give me a copy of the program and supply a license so I could use it at home.

My question is, if I make a shape, such a that for the nosecone of a F1 car, or hull of a boat, is there a simple way just to reduce it's size so that it gradually goes to a point? Or, do I have to keep redrawing it?

Next time try this web site it is directly linked with bentley. Support people are on this all the time.

Yeah, I know that. But if you do not give it a proper line to follow, it will shape it the way it wants. I want to use a series of rings spaced apart to get the graduation I want.

Okay now we are on the same page. Under the create surfaces tool bar use the construct surface by section or network. The one thing to remember when using this tool is to make sure that all of your lines are going the same direction.
