thread794-492743
Hi,
In continuation of the thread mentioned here, I have a question. When we are evaluating the deformations in an elastic plastic analysis, what value of deformations do we say we are allowed to go upto if nothing is specified by the user of the vessel? I know that the deformations should not be large enough to render the equipment non functional or not functioning as intended but not sure how to satisfy this criteria.
Any light on the matter or any other interpretation if we do not know the limit of deformations in UDS?
Thanks,
Shiraz
