I am designing a half through steel truss with span of 52m (approx 170 ft) and skew angle of 15 degs. Since the skew angle is small, there are no end trimmers, the end cross beams are just rotated in plan by 15 degs.
I read some guidance, rocker bears should be placed under the acute corners to provide torsional restraints to the beam or truss from twisting. As there are two acute corners, do I have to put a rocker bearing at each acute corner?
