SAP 2000

I have just started learning to analise structures using SAP 2000.Would someone help me as how the joint masses are calculated as well as assigned to joints.

To assign the joint masses:

Select the nodes
Go to Assign/Joint/Masses
Can assign as "Weight"
Change the coordinate system to Global, in Mass Direction
Weight in x-direction = weight mass that is going to be applied to each node
Ok
