Hello everyone,

I have a heat exchanger channel built in 1971 out of SA-357. I'm having a hard time figuring out what material this is online. There is a note on the drawing saying "Material: P-5." Yes, very vague. All of the nozzles are SA-335-P5 & SA-182-f-F5 so I assume it is all 5 Cr. However, having trouble finding specifications on this. Can someone confirm if this is 5 Cr? Also, was this superseded by another specification?

Thank you for your time in advance!

A 357 was replaced by A-387 , contains several Cr; Mo plate , but there are very likely some differences.
