Recommended practice for calling out multiple parts

Have a question on what is the recommended practice. In the attachment I show a section view that represents a generic boss with the appropriate sizes. Underneath the view, the the part number is shown as well as the number of times it is used.
The question is, do I really need to show quantities of "2X" for each dimension or is the callout "2 places" adequate ?

Each dimension/callout applies as many times as the view callout. So a dimension in a view that applies 5 places implies that the dimension will apply 5 places on the part. Saying it is 5 places in that same view would imply 25 places on the part.

It is confusing to have two drawing location references on a single section. Why does the -9 boss get a reference separate from the section view? If the boss is a separate part it should be directly identified as the helical insert is. If there's reason to be nervous about drawing readers not knowing, add a reference and point directly to it in the section.

I would think that calling out only MA3329-156 INSERT fully defines the part. Isn't that a good part number? The rest of the note would be redundant. As for "2 PLACES" it is more universal to use the term "2X" instead. It is fine to apply the multiplier to the caption of the view as you have done.
