I am using a prosoft modbus card to control a number of AB powerflex 4 drives but I find my block transfers jump aroundto the various data areas and the drives do not respond as quickly as I would like. Any help on this one?

No matter how much work I do on the prosoft modules, I still get confused when using them. Your problem sounds specific to your case, so would probable require Prosoft Support to examine your logic. I would contact my Prosoft distributor.

I used this product before. The key for this is program only the commands and memory needed. The programing of this is not hard to do, and I feel it is well explained in their catalogs.
But, don't get me wrong, because this is the interface of diferents systems, the protocol runs over a serial conection, the speed will be not as fast as a native protocol. So You may say works, but it is no so fast.
In my aplication, I shared about 2K registers, plus the commands used, getting a slow response.

Well folks,
I answered my own question. The problem was I did not place a sufficient time delay between the issueing of each command. I found that with increasing the time delay to only 10 milliseconds the commands flowed flawlessly with zero errors. Hope that helps any one else with these silly cards which I have found to be a much cheaper alternative to the whole Device net game.
