Project wont' show Progress BAr

I've got a book, and it tells of this feature (shading inside the bar whatever progress you put for the % complete), but MINE'S NOT DOING IT. Can someone help?

Check the Format|Bar Styles

The 3rd entry should be Progress

Thanks. I ended up just saving a baseline, and then going to the Tracking View. Guess there's more than one way to skin a cat.
