Every now and then we find our customers with very short runs of suction piping may don't meet the minimum per the HI Standards.

I've seen suction diffusers (by Allis-Chalmmers/ITT) but have no experience with them I've also seen other types of homemade diffusers which are inserted in piping to help streamline the fluid entry or as they call it flow straightner.

Are there other ways of dealing with short lengths of suction piping that will have the same affect without having to have them move the entire pump assembly.

If you have any threads that I could pull up I'd appreciate it thanks.

I see a lot of Flow straighteners on Fiscal metering/ custody transfer stations. You might want to try some of the metering companies such as Daniels or Rhomax.
