Primer systems and olefins

Currently using a silane-based primer system (with alkoxy and amine reactivity). In general it works great in bonding polyester materials to polyolefins (like EVA, EMA, EEA, etc.). Though strangely a good bond is not obtained when using any EAA resins. It is understandable why LDPE would not work very well, but EAA is supposed to be a very chemically functional resin class - yet it can be peeled away from the polyester after being extruded upon the primer. Quite confounding. Any ideas? (just bad luck with the chemical/primer matchup, or something strange about EAA's perhaps?). Thanks for any insights.

Yes, this is confounding. It should work. Maybe the EAA is neutralized, or maybe it has a contaminant coating.
