Hello, our company had just bought a PD flowmeter from FMC smith, this flowmeter was equipped with a UPT transmitter and a Brodie 202Di indicator. The upt send frequency signal to the indicator, and the Brodie 202Di indicator transmit the frequent signal into 4-20mA signal to DCS, the indicator was loop powered with 4-20mA output signal.
And problems happened to the flowmeter after several months, the Brodie 202Di 4-20mA output cannot be measured anymore.
While we test the instrument, the UPT has normal frequency output, and if we use standard frequency signal generator to give frequency signal to the indicator, the indicator can also work well, but when we connect the UPT signal to the indicator, we cannot measure the 4-20mA signal again, and the voltage had dropped to 4V.
Could you please help me analysis what's wrong with my instrument.
