Hi all.

I don't if this is the right forum, but i'll try.
Could you please suggest me some books, articles of handbooks, or something like this concerning pipe manufacturing: LSAW (JCOE,UOE, 3roll bending),HSAW, ERW, etc... that involve all the metallurgic, processes of production aspects etc?

Thanks a lot.

Call any major pipe mill and ask for their manufacturing process descriptions. You'll get some nice free little handbooks with lots of high gloss pictures with circles and arrows.

Let your acquaintances be many, but your advisors one in a thousand’ ... Book of Ecclesiasticus

Tell some mills you want to BUY a bunch of pipe; you may make some money selling the literature for paper scrap.
Is USX , "Making, Shaping, and Treating of Steel" still available ? I know Sumi / Taijin have a new seamless process, but most pipe making procedures have been around for decades.

One of the best books you can acquire can be ordered from Amazon:

As the title would imply [History of Line Pipe Manufacturing in North-America] it details the history of line pipe with great detail. In addition to being a great reference, its relatively cheap: $54.00
