Pipe Hangers to Exist. Timber Joists

We're replacing equipment in an existing boiler room, and I noticed from the existing drawings that the roof framing is existing timber 2x14 members at 12" O.C. The mechanical engineer plans to support new piping in the room from the timber framing.

Given the new loading is within the allowable limits for the joists, are there any products to connect hangers/connectors to timber members? I was trying to find some type of "saddle" on the Simpson website, but nothing seemed appropriate. Thank you.

You could have a saddle fabricated out of bent plate and bolt through the joists. Just be sure and bolt to the upper half of the joists to avoid the load pulling downward and splitting the beam.

or even simpler, use threaded rod to suspend unistrut with the top bent 90 deg to go through the joists.
