Hey y'all (just for you SRE!)

Just to drop a short note on something quite personal . . . my youngest boy, Noah, who works for the Hilton in Shanghai and his wife just had a little baby boy on the 4th September! Interesting is that Ida's sister delivered a baby boy on the 4th around noon and not to be outdone, Ida popped out the little one about 4 minutes before midnight - so they both have boys on the same day.

Now, what did they name the little tyke? For BigH - what else could they call the lad but "LittleH" - yep, they named the lad Howard. I am quite honoured . . . we had joked a bit about Howard as a middle name but . . .

Thanks - and for the Baby-Tips forum . . . I have another 4 yr old grandson by the same son/wife and a 9 yr old granddaughter by my older son in Florida.

Sadly and this is the cost of living overseas and away from family - while many/most of you can be involved with your grandkids - perhaps you live a hundred miles apart of so . . . I can't. I've seen my granddaughter twice and my first grandson twice as well. A sad cost, though, it is . . .

These kind of things are what sometimes give me pause about my life - but, it is the life we have chosen and we have to put up with the costs "outside of work" that I do not have the luxury of having . . .

BigH No kid around here these days has any name that might be called common. Great to see that old naming custom continues there.

MRM - as I pointed out earlier - my face-to-face contact with my grandkids (and kids except for the daughter) are minimal at best. Try to stay in touch with them the best I can; easier with Noah and Ida (the new baby's pa and ma) as they live in Asia but . . . Sad, though . . .
