Over 1 min delay after selecting settings for dimensions

I'm running NX11 from what they call a blade server. When I select the settings button to modify dimensions or views I get at least a minute delay until the window pops up. Sometime after the first time adjusting a jog on an ordinate dim it will work as expected. I'm the only one experiencing this and so far our Tech Expert has not been able to help me.

Any ideas?

I would look in the syslog to see what is being loaded when you select the Settings button.

Many years ago I encountered the same problem in drafting and it was a license error

Have a look at your SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER variable

Is it equal to one server or many server separated by "," or ";" ?
Check the difference with your colleague

Just tried deleting DialogMemory and restarting NX. No change.. My License server is set as shown below and so my neighbor's who does not experience the issue.

We run a off of what they call a blade server accessed thru Citrix. Kinda like a VPN I guess. That variable doesn't exist on my laptop.

A blade server is a type of setup where the software + cpu is in the "blade server" and you work on a terminal rather than a workstation.
Quite similar to the old days of server + terminals. ( don't know the difference) One of the benefits is that the admin people only has to update the server, there is nothing installed on the terminal.

Didier, -don't you visit the PLM Europe and speak to the hardware people ?

And one of the problems is that your local performance depends on the speed and the amount of traffic on your network. Every time you open a dialog, there will two-traffic across the network sending your request and then returning the data needed to display your dialog and as you make selections or dialog choices, there will be more two-way traffic between your "terminal" and the blade server. And if you're not the only person accessing that blade server, then you're going to be competing with all of your coworkers who are also running NX as well as anyone else in your organization who are running applications installed on that blade server, since I assume that your "admin people" would like to streamline their effort to manage applications other than JUST NX.

My advice would be to get a local copy of NX installed on your local workstation and only use the blade server for things like administering your licenses and archiving your files. BTW, are you using Teamcenter to manage your data files?

Yes we are using Teamcenter. Don't think getting a local copy of NX is an option. I'd be the only one.

It seems to be specific to me and my laptop even though all the settings should be stored on the Blade server. If I log into the Blade on anyone else's laptop I don't have the issue. I now have the Server folks and the NX gurus looking into it. It's also the same long delay no matter the time or drawing. I contacted GTAC as well but they don't support the Blade option.
