Hi There

I've just started using ST3 after having used SE19 for a long time. When I open old assemblies in ST3 and then click on "edit" the part opens up and the other parts are shown in a ghosted view for referencing.

However when I create a new assembly in ST3 and follow the same procedure the other parts are not visible. I'm guess it's a setting but I can't figure out what to do.

Thanks for your help.

P.S. I did do a search for this topic but it's so general I wasn't finding what I wanted.

You have "Show/Hide Previous Level" off.
In your edit-in-place part click the View tab, then the bottom icon in the Show group.
I always add this icon to the QAT.

Where would we be without sat-nav?

another thing while I've got your attention :D

I can't seem to reference(ie use the include command) on ghosted objects from the assembly... some other setting I need to enable?

You might need Peer Edge locate on - look on Tools > Edge Locate.
The part will also need to be activated - you can do that within the sketch command as thetre is an Activate icon on Home > Select
