orifice sizing

I have done some searching for some formulas or general guidlelines on orifice sizing in cooling systems and have come up short.

I will be needing to size several orifices in a large marine application to restrict flow. I plan to use plate style st.st. orifices. Flows from 20m3/hr to 270m3/hr and pipes from 2" to 8".

Any suggestions?
