Odd Teelateral Purpose

I'm not sure if this post is appropriate, but I just had to ask.

Does anyone have an idea of what this multi-branch 'teelateral' would be for (assuming it's not a joke)?

I'd have called it an octo-tee or something, but there appears to be more than eight branches.

That looks like part of a large tubular structure, like an oil rig or similar where all the tubes join in together. I'm guessing the main tube is the biggest one on the floor.

Yikes, I think you're right. I didn't consider the possibility of it being a structural piece (I've never done offshore design). I guess the lack of weld bevels would be another clue.
