I need your help.
I want to assemble nylon filaments into a brush that looks like a wheel. The brush outside diameter is 8 inches and the ID is 2 inches. The thickness is 1 inch. I was considering cast nylon. How can I try using this material on a cheap budget? Is there another material that has higher strength properties and easier to process? What about mold costs?

Hi Bushman
I am not sure from your above post if you are making a one off or not?
If its a one off an idea might be to machine up an outer and inner ring
Drill holes(snug fit for the nylon bristles)in the outer ring and press the bristles though the holes sticking though say 10mm and then press the inner and outer ring together jamming the hairs in place.
when drilling the holes make up drilling a template out of some flexable plastic and rap around the outer ring.
another cheap one off option is to buy some tooth brushes and cut and fit them to the wheel.(no good if exposed to uv)
cheers
