NX won't allow section view letter because "View Letter Already Used".

The answer for me, using NX12 was to got to Part Navigator while in Drafting mode.

Rt-click on each view and click properties, Attributes tab.

It the column VWLETTER or VWLETTER_DISP is where I found the an "imported" Front view lettered "A". Why Siemens WHY?????

Blanking out that field solved my problem, ALMOST.

There were other views that were automatically lettered for me. These got rolled updated letters and a new one became "A".

Had to re-letter them all. THANKS AGAIN SIEMENS! Jeeze!

Blanking out the view label shouldn't have fixed anything.
The way this is acting is due to how your NX setting are, you can change that.
You need to turn off the automatic view labeling then ask the person at your company why it is set that way. This is not an NX "out of the box" setting.
