nitrogen metering

We have an incoming nitrogen meter which has been configured by the factory to read "SCFH". This is at roughly 150 psig and ambient temp. The nitrogen is further regulated down to 36 psig, and another flowrate is taken, also supposedly in "SCFH". However, the upstream meter reads about 1700 scfh when flowing, and the downstream meter reads 6300 scfh. Shouldn't they read the same? Or would it make sense that these are both actual cfh instead?

If I had to guess, I'd say it is ACFH.

Neglecting compressibility, not something you should do often, 1700 * 165 / 50 = 5610 (11% difference from 6300)

Are you sure the temperature is the same?
