i am obviously a new user to solid edge. this is what i am trying to do: i am creating a 2d draft and i want to dimension using the distance between command. i want to discard the actual measurement numbers and add text such as AB or AC, etc. i know this is simple but i cannot figure out how to do this. i am using v11. can anyone help??

Click on the dimension you want to change.

On the ribbon bar, towards the right ends, is the button for adding tolerance. Click on it and select the greyed out X from the pop-down box.

Click the button on the ribbon bar to add text to the dimension. Add either superscript or subscript text (AB, AC, etc).

I have found that if you put the text in as prefix with two spaces in front, ie " AB", then the text is positioned exactly where the actual dimension would have been, unlike sub- or superscript that put text above or below that position.
