While going through "The Procedure Handbook of Arc Welding" from The James Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation, I've come across a weld symbol I can't find identified in the book.
The symbol is shown in Fig. 2-65 on page 2.1-32. The text states that "Fig. 2-65 shows the proper way of specify how plates intersecting at 60 degrees are to be welded with a complete-penetration, double -bevel groove joint.
Were the vertical legs just left off the weld symbol for a full penetration weld?
Also could this joint be done by specifying fillet welds with out beveling the plates?
