Dear all,
I am completely new to Nastran software.
I have similar problem to thread824-266290. The file *.f06 where i should search for FATAL is empty. I don't get any output files (i expect *op2 file).

I use Win 7 64bit, Intel Core i3-2310M @2.10 GHz. My files were solved on the other workstation. Is it possible to use Nastran on my computer? Or maybe I have to look around for the other nastran version? Is there any patch required? The pre-processing was done in HyperMesh. I have attached my beam01.bdf, maybe somebody experienced had such a problem already?

Nastran looks as if he would analyse but it takes ages (15 min for a very simple geometry).

Nastran Console looks like:

I tried your model on my machine, and it works fine. What are the messages in the *.log file?

Are you running your job using keywords such as bpool and smem?

If so, I would strongly suggest you to remove them (meaning they are set back to nastran defaults), and try your job again.

500dof is a very very light model, and per your earlier post, if nastran is taking ~15min or more to solve means that's the solver is going into spill mode, which is not desirable.
