We are required by regulation (MSHA - Mining Safety and Health Admin.) to use shielded cables to connect to high voltage motors. The cable is an SHD-G-GC construction, and the voltage is 4160V, 3 phase. The G-GC stands for Ground with a Ground Check conductor. The supply system is resistance grounded. At times, the cables are less than 15 feet from the controller. Question - Do these cables require stress relief at the ends? If not, what is the critical length (and/or voltage level) that stress relief must be used.
