Yes... but I wouldn't.

for an example of the difficulties consider the out of plane modes of a brake rotor.

I would like to be more specific. I have the left tire of a car and I have the modal model of it. Then I want to mirror it in order to create the right tire. Is this possible? Or I have to use any symmetric constraints when producing the modal model?
