When exiting solid edge ST , solid edge remains in Task Manager, and a memory dump is not performed.

When starting a new solid edge session (unaware of the above) multiple sessions of solid edge can be running.

Is there a setting in which to overcome this problem?

Evert,

just kill the background SE by Taskmanager. When the problem
recurse you have to check which application you've started
also starts SE. Is there an Excel application you can use
to create/manipulate an SE file? This applicateion can
have a reference to a variable in a part (direction is
Excel cell --> SE). Upon closing Excel SE remains active
as a background process.

a not properly termination SE-Macro or SE-Addin may also be
responsible for that background process that is still active
after the Macro/Addin has terminated

Hi Evert,

I did have this problem also.
But since I have installed mp3 of SEST.
The problem seem to be solved in this mp.

But I'am not sure if it is gone because mp is just a few days old. Wait and see. I will let you know if the problem is really solved

Hi Dirk,

We have installed MP3 for a week now, and with us the problem still occurs.
