Is there a good rule of thumb regarding the maximum allowable interference to press-fit a bearing? We are designing a lug assembly that involves an MS14103 self-lubricated spherical bearing press-fit into 7050 aluminum plate material.
I realize that interference could be so tight that it could deform the race and affect the operation of the bearing.
We are interested in a press-fit to lengthen the fatigue life of the lug detail.
