Materials with less effected by eddy current

I have a question on the materials used in power system. If a unmovable metallic ring passed via a phase of cable which carry a current, it was known that an eddy current will be generated in the ring. Any expert know what materials (i.e., stainless steel, copper, etc) will be less effected by eddy current.

Are you looking for a material with the least iron losses (hysteresis and eddy currents flowing within it due to magnetic flux) like in a transformer core?
 
Basically, we want to look for a material of a clamping ring/adpater used in the HV side of transformer cable termination. We don't want to have the effect of the eddy current arising from the cable in the ring after energizing the circuit.
 
You want to select a material with the lowest possible magnetic permeability that still retains the mechanical/structural features you need.
 
Sorry, but can you be a little more descriptive? What is the intention of the ring/adapter? Is it single core cable for each phase or a three core cable? Voltage? If you can describe what you actually want to do beter, you'll probably find beter answers.
