Does anyone out there know of any "subminiature" spring-applied or permanent-magnet failsafe brakes?

I'm looking for something to hold only about 0.04Nm (about 5.7 in-oz), and under 20-25mm diameter.

Anyone seen anything that small out there?

Thanks,

Bruce

Thanks Clyde38 - just by chance a colleague suggested Island to me today as well. I've contacted them via their website just now. Do you happen to know how small they go?

Thanks!

Bruce

Sorry, I'm not sure. You may also try Danaher Motion, they purchased API some time ago and also Thomson. They have product as small as 1 inch. The website is a little lacking so you may need to contact them for info.
