You're going to have to explain what is going on here.

First diagram looks to me like two vortex filters which can be run individually, in parallel or series.

Second picture I can't make sense of.

Filters operate in series. Valves on pipes 9 (upper ones), 13, 14 closed, last opened. Left filter is lead, right is led.
PDIA-003 alerts. Operator opens valves 9 (upper ones) and closes 5, 9 (lower ones), 13. Left filter is ready for cleaning, right is onstream.
Operator cleaned left filter. Operator opens valves 13, 14 and closes 10. In this turn right filter is lead, left is led. Filters operate in series again.

Voila - all the time the downstream sensor is protected by at least 1 upstream filter and you do not need to stop the whole process unit for a minor operation.
